We woke up bright and early on Saturday because it was National Mini Golf Day! One of the local mini golf places was giving away free annual passes to the first 100 customers so we sat outside in the cold and rain for an hour and a half to score our free passes. I thought we’d pack it up and go home after that but the boys had other plans. We ended up golfing a course in the rainy, 47 degree weather. LOL

That evening, Rachel and I took mom to see Potted Potter for Mother’s Day and then everyone came over to our house for dinner afterward.

On Mother’s Day, the boys woke me up with gifts and breakfast of my choice. We went out to lunch with Mike’s mom, dad, and sister at the Cheesecake Factory.
After lunch, we built a Lego set and Matthew (for the first time ever) built most of the set by himself with “reading” the directions!

It was a great weekend!

We’ve been a little worried about our tree the last few years. We called someone to look at it and treat it for disease but we weren’t sure it was going to make it.
Last year it barely had any flowers and all of the leaves died and dropped mid-summer (we were under a massive drought but still very abnormal). This year, we had a lot more flowers and it seems to be a bit healthier.
We have our fingers crossed!
