(and the last of my 2011 posts! woo!)

Christmas morning started off a little slow.  Mike and I were  up well before the boys and we actually had to send Matthew in to wake Ian up. We weren’t really upset they were sleeping in but we had my family coming over for brunch and we needed to get the show on the road. LOL

100 hundred presents for two sleepy heads

Jungle Speed was the “big” gift Ian requested from Santa.  I’d like to point out that it hasn’t been played once.  LOL  Maybe “Santa” knows what Ian wants better than Ian does.  😉

Santa intended for Ian to open the Nintendo 3DS-related items at the end – after the DS system was opened.  Of course, everything got shuffled around and it didn’t happen that way.  He opened the games first and was completed confused.  Thankfully, he got pretty excited about the game system.  (It’s been used on a weekly/daily basis since it was opened so I think Santa did a good job on that.)

image Matthew was very taken with the first few toys he opened (particularly his Mario Kart race car) and pretty much completely lost interested in the present-opening process.  In addition, Santa brought Matthew more gifts than Ian (quantity-wise) to compensate for the expensive nature of Ian’s gifts.  The large quantity + the lack of interest = sloooooow gift opening.  We had to prod him along the entire time.  LOL

Slowest gift opening. EVER.

Never going to let him live this down: "maybe I’m done"

He got some open but still had a stack left to unwrap.

Wait?  Who is the 3DS for?  Mike playing the 3DS and Ian playing Matthew’s Innotab.  LOL

imageNext up was brunch, showers, naps, video game time:
