Christmas cookie decorating:

Christmas Eve:

We held Christmas Eve at our house for the first time and moved the furniture around to open the living room up a bit more.  We also wanted to try to get a big family shot.

Some people like to make silly faces while I set up my tripod and fix my camera settings.

A nice test shot if you can ignore the fact that Matthew looks like he’s going to beat up the paparazzi.  LOL

The best shot was the first one that I was in.  I love that Andrew and Matthew are holding hands. 🙂

And we lost Sissy….

Opening presents:

I made this crown for Kaitlyn.

The first few presents resulted in tears from Matthew.  We were glad to see things turn around when he opened this Lego spider set:

Christmas morning:

Santa came!!!!!!

Our “homemade” Lego table.

I found the idea online – it is an Ikea Trofast table/bins with Lego baseplates glued to the top.  To say this table has been a hit would be a understatement.  It is used daily and provides a ton of Lego storage.

For anyone thinking of attempting it at home, you just have to make sure that you space the green baseplates so that Legos can go across the gap properly.  The plates can’t be right up against each other.  Use a couple of bricks to get the correct spacing.   (I used this website for inspiration/instructions: http://tinyurl.com/cygr3s4)

If I was asked to give our Christmas morning a movie titled, it would have been named “A Very Merry Lego Christmas”.  LOL

Mike played with the light sabers more than the boys on Christmas! LOL
