Last year, Ian talked a bit about the dance his school was having.  The day came and passed and we totally forgot about it.  When he came home from school the following Monday, he was heartbroken because he was the ONLY KID IN HIS CLASS THAT DIDN’T GO TO THE PARTY OF THE YEAR. OMG.OMG.OMG.  LOL  Needless to say, when we got the date of this year’s Harvest Dance, we put that sucker on the calendar and made sure not to miss it.

When we were out shopping for some Halloween costume essentials, Ian saw a bow tie for sale and begged to get it.  We had a pretty funny conversation about how he could wear it “fancy” places like restaurants, weddings, and dates (the sales person nearby was giggling) but I eventually told him “no”.  Later I went back and got it so he could wear it to the party of the year.

All dolled up for the party of the year:

He also insisted on his buzz cut hair to be forced into (I swear to God this is a quote) a “salesman hairstyle”:

There was about a half pound of hair product in there to get his hair to cooperate (hence the reason he has a buzz cut to begin with LOL).

The dance was a really fun time.  It was absolutely packed and the kids had a ball.  I’d say the worst part of the whole thing was not being able to get on the dance floor and shake my booty with the kids. 🙂

Ian got tons of compliments on his tie and danced his heart out.

We took Matthew and he had a lot of fun too.  He did a little bit of dancing and a lot of horsing around with his Kindergarten buddies.  LOL

Here is a video I made with all the cell phone videos I took that night:
