ChalkFest was the first weekend in August.  We went down to check it out and were completely stunned.  The art and talent was unbelievable. It was so flipping hot that we didn’t stay too long but I definitely want to go back next year.   This year’s theme was Dr. Seuss themed as the benefactor was Theatre of Youth and their first show of the 2014-2015 season is “Seussical”.

This kid was probably 10-ish years old.  Can you believe his talent?!?!

They had a parking lot next to the street open with food trucks and local vendors.  They also had extra chalk on hand for kids to draw on any open spot on the ground.  🙂

The best part was the fact that they had Michael Macauley there and he did a huge 3D drawing.

Looking at his work through a camera. It was easier to “see” through a camera, for some reason.

Final product. How cool is that?!?!?

I can’t wait to go next year.  Hopefully the weather is a little bit better. 🙂
