We rented a tent in order to provide shade from a blazing summer sun…what we didn’t count on was that it was going to POUR for the better part of the day. Thank God for the tent rental! 🙂
The weather forced us to put the food and cake tables inside the garage. Functional but not the cutest backdrop for pictures. lol

Finally, it was time for cake. Surprisingly, Matthew wasn’t a big fan of the cake. He played with it, rubbed it in his hair and then flung the bulk of it off the tray. Any attempts to get him to eat some were met with a turned up nose.
He needed a quick bath after the cake smashing experience and what a wrestling match that was! Afterward, he was dressed in his “Samulski 08” jersey shirt and given to Grandma Samulski for cuddles.
It was a wonderful party. Thank you to everyone for coming and the very generous gifts. We love you all!
