Mike and Ian went to go visit Great Grandpa Samulski today for a few hours to give me a break. While they were gone, I decided to go to lunch with mom. When I got back, Ian was in bed and despite being reaaaaally quiet, I managed to wake him up after only 45 mins of sleep.

Grouchy little Ian was a handful so we decided to go to Isle View Park….after a little while there, it started to get really windy and cool and started to sprinkle. We had to pack the little guy up which really made him M-A-D.

Since we were kind of in the vicinity and we didn’t have anything going on, we decided to go to the Niagara Falls Aquarium. Ian was kind of interested in the sea lions but really the visit was a complete waste. $9 each for me and Mike to get in and we were barely there an hour.

On the way home, Ian slept in the car. When we got home, Ian slept on the couch (pictured above). It gave us hope that all that sleeping would result in a refreshed and happy Ian.

When he woke up, he was a grouchy, crabby, cranky, fussy, whine-bucket.

Moral of the story: don’t mess with naptime. For the love of God. Just let the child sleep.

Despite the overwhelmingly not-fun time we had this afternoon, I got some cute pictures of Ian and Daddy at the park.
