I was videotaping Matthew today in hopes of getting some footage of his new skills: going from a crawl to up on his knees to pulling up to standing.

Ian saw the “cam-er” out and wanted to help. He asked to take “pitchers” so I thought I’d give him a quick lesson and hand it over.

He had a hard time understanding the mechanics of the focusing-shutter-button-release process and as a result, got a lot of BAD pictures:

But he got one that I like even if it isn’t in focus:

And one that I absolutely LOVE:

Yes, he really did take that last picture. All I did was crop it and remove red eyes. It was one of the first pictures he took so the button holding/focus/hold still lesson was fresh in his mind. He progressively got more and more impatient and the resulting photos were less and less in focus.

Just a warning…you’ll see it again as my 52 weeks picture for this week.
