It was a weird Thanksgiving this year….Ian came down with some bizarre flu-esque thing first thing Monday morning. Spent all day Monday and Tuesday throwing up everything that went into him. 🙁

(notice the mats protecting the couch?)

As a result of Ian’s puking, we postponed Thanksgiving with the Jones family and had to completely skip the Samulski family celebration. We didn’t want to spread the flu and honestly, Ian just wasn’t up to a full day of holiday-ness.

For the first time ever, we spent Thanksgiving at home and it was a pretty nice day. Mike made breakfast and we watched the Macy’s parade. And afterward, we played, watched Christmas cartoons and overall, had a nice quiet day at home. After naptime, I baked cookies and Mike prepared our unconvential Thanksgiving dinner of shepards pie. 🙂 I was disappointed that we didn’t have our “real” Thanksgiving but after all was said and done, it turned out to be a really nice day.

We’re definitely looking forward to the “real” Thanksgiving dinner when we have it Sunday night! And another opportunity for Matthew to wear his special Thanksgiving outfit. 🙂
