Jill and I decided to do a book club with our 4 boys. We get together just about 1x per month, read and talk about a children’s book, then we do a craft or activity that coordinates with the theme of the book.
For our first meeting, we read “Ice Cream” from the book Frog and Toad All Year. Afterward, we made homemade ice cream.
For our second meeting, we read The Easter Bunny’s Assistant and made “stain glass” Easter eggs.


The last meeting, we read a book about spring and growing vegetables. Afterward, we planted some seeds of our own.
Our next meeting is tomorrow so I need to figure out what we’re going to do!
(By the way, that’s hair gel in Ian and Matthew’s hair. They had gotten haircuts that day and the hairdresser gave them colored hair gel. LOL)
Matthew had his spring concert back on March 23rd.
The teachers asked us to dress the kids up for the concert and Ian got in on the action too.

There are 4 elementary schools in our district and each school has 2 classes (AM and PM). This is Matthew’s school. Holy Moly!

In March, the Buffalo Bisons had an open house. They opened the stadium up and allowed people to go in the clubhouse, swing a bat in the batting cages, and tour the Press Box. It was free so it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Unfortunately, it was FREEZING. LOL
These guys were standing in the corridor inside the stadium. Matthew was fascinated and wanted to get a picture…but was afraid at the same time. Aunt Jackie to the rescue!!!

This boy turned 7 in February. How is that possible?!?!?!
We gave him his present from us (a new big boy bike) and then headed to the bowling alley for a bowling party. We decided to do a smaller party and only invited a handful of Ian’s friends.

After his bowling party, the Samulskis came over for birthday festivities round #3. For some reason, I don’t have any pictures.
A few days after his birthday, Ian had his 7 year old well child visit. His stats:
HEIGHT: 51.5″ (95th percentile)
WEIGHT: 55lbs 9oz (72nd percentile)
I can’t believe how big he’s getting!
