After getting out my sewing stuff to attach Ian’s badges to his Cub Scout uniform, I pretty quickly realized that I needed to go to JoAnn’s for additional thread for a few of the badges.  While we were in the store, we played around in the Halloween costume section.

I’m not sure what you’d call this get-up besides pretty silly.  🙂

Ian’s first Cub Scouts meeting was a few days after registration.  It was a full pack meeting (all the boys in Cub Scouts) and a welcome back picnic for the whole family.

Ian wore his new t-shirt.

After everyone got settled and they started the Pack meeting, they had the boys sit by den (all the boys grouped by class level/grade).  There are 7 boys in the Wolf den/second grade.

They asked all the new Scouts to come to the front of the room to be introduced to the rest of the pack:

After introductions, they had a meeting.  Ian answered a question properly and was honored by being the first person to eat at the picnic.  He was super pumped.

After everyone ate, they did a few games and a popcorn piñata.  They were very kind to let Matthew have a chance at the piñata too.

It took forever to break the piñata open but when they did, it was a full pile up.  Matthew ended up losing a shoe in the chaos.  We found the shoe but it was pretty funny.  LOL

Last year, we intended to sign Ian up for Cub Scouts but my trip to Ireland kind of took over the month of September and it didn’t happen.  When school started this year and we got a flyer about signing up for Cub Scouts, we put the registration meeting on the calendar so we wouldn’t miss it.

Mike took Ian to the registration meeting and got all sorts of info about the upcoming year.  The next day, we took a trip to the official Cub Scouts store and got a full uniform.  When we got home, Ian modeled his fancy new outfit.

Isn’t my little Wolf a cutie?!?!

We’re excited for Cub Scouts.  I think he’s really going to love it!

Now I just need to get his darn badges on the uniform………

We made our annual trip up to Lewiston for the Niagara County Peach Festival.  The boys rode some carnival rides, we played “I got it” (and I won!), and we got some peach treats.

Matthew’s first trip down the big slide by himself.  He was NOT a fan.  LOL

Matthew riding in the blue car with a stranger.  LOL  He loved it!
