Ian was a lion for his second Halloween. Unfortunately, he was a COWARDLY lion.

The costume scared the bajesus out of him. The only way to get past the terror was to roll the hands/sleeves up and to pull the shoe covers off his shoes. Once we figured that out, all was ok.

Here are a few pictures of him in the stroller ready to do Beggar’s Night at the Blvd Mall and one of him playing with his cars at Great-Grandpa Samulski’s house on Halloween!

Well, Ian Michael. You’re 20 months old today. Where, oh where, has the time gone?

This month you’ve turned into a **major** lover boy. You have perfected the art of smooching. You blow kisses like a 1st grader. You pucker up like an expert. The writing is on the wall, you are going to be QUITE the heartbreaker when you get older.

In the past, when we asked for kisses, it was hit or miss on whether you’d actually cooperate. We’d be lucky to get 1 kiss a day. These days, you throw yourself at us. Flinging kisses left and right. I can get 4 kisses every time I put you in or take you out of the carseat.

You kiss everybody. You kiss everything. It seems like that would cheapen it a bit but it doesn’t…nothing can take away from your little kisses.

Me and daddy live for those kisses. Love you punkin.

Ian and I had a really great day today while Daddy was off watching the Bills beat the Baltimore Ravens (go Bills!!!!).

After the game, we went outside to play a little bit:

In the last month or so, Mike and I have taken to letting Ian feed himself with a spoon. Ian has surprisingly done really well with it. For the most part, he can get anything into his mouth with the spoon. He still uses his hands to get some of the trickier stuff but he’s really done a great job.
I got the video camera out to document this step into big-boy-land and decided, what the heck, why not some pictures too? You KNOW I hate taking pictures. 🙂

Eating his corn the old fashioned way, with his hands:
Isn’t he cute???
Eat, momma?
I’m going to look over here to the side, then look back
quick to see if you’re still taking pictures of me: Must. Have. Milk. Now.
Pensive Ian, reflecting on what a big boy he is now….I really have no idea what was going on here….

The end result: full tummy, messy mouth, happy boy:
