Mid-May, we were laying the foundation to our very first attempt at a vegetable garden when Ian and Mike filled it with dirt:
On Memorial Day weekend, I transplanted some plants that I’d picked up from a nursery and prayed that I didn’t just waste a ton of money:
And on July 4th, though nothing is yet ripe for picking, the garden has officially exceeded all of my expectations!
I thought I had a black thumb. Quite honestly, I’m still convinced I do and that the success of the garden is due to pure dumb luck. Regardless, I can’t wait for everything to ripen and to start enjoying the fruits of our labors.
Depending on how everything does this year, I’m considering doubling the garden next year!
Thursday after work, Mike and I took the boys over to Jill and Greg’s house for a dinner and play date. Ian and Matthew had a great time playing with Kyle and Aaron!
Probably the only toy that Fisher Price makes that we don’t have. We might have to get one because Matthew loved it and it kept him occupied for a good 15 mins (which is a long time for a 1 year old)!
Ian was all about the Gator Golf!
Kyle racing cars:
Aaron making a silly face:
I told you Matthew loved this thing!
I foresee some sleep overs in our future. What do you think, Jill?
Kyle was a little gentleman and walked us to the door…
…even Matthew was escorted!
Thanks guys! We’ll have to do it again soon!!!
Last summer, mom and dad managed to find 2 Jeep 4×4 vehicles for next to nothing. Gotta love finding stuff second-hand! This was LITERALLY the first time it’s been out that Ian hasn’t been afraid to try it. 🙂
Ian enjoying his “Special Agent Oso car”:
Matthew wondering what the hell is going on:
Ian getting a quick lesson on steering (he never did get it completely):
Stranded in Grammy and Papaw’s yard:
And a post about a new Jeep wouldn’t be complete without some video….I love how it looks like paparazzi as Aunt Rachel tries to keep ahead of them to make sure they don’t drive out in the street!
Seeing the two of them ride around in this little car makes me so excited to take them to an amusement park. I think they’ll love it!
