Matthew’s Pre-K graduation was so cute. I think he did a great job and we are so proud of him. I can’t believe my baby is off to Kindergarten!

Checking out his diploma:

Matthew’s 5th birthday fell right in the middle of a super chaotic time in our lives. The 2-3 days surrounding his birthday were also Father’s Day, the last day of school (of course, 2 different days, one for each boy), Pre-K graduation, Ian’s last golf lesson, Matthew’s 5 year well-child pediatrician visit, swimming lesson sign up, and massive vacation preparation. It should come as no surprise when I say we had to split his celebration up in order to fit everything in.
We celebrated his birthday with Mike’s family on Father’s Day, with us on his actual birthday, with my family while in the Outer Banks on vacation, and we will be having his first ever “friend” party at Bounce Magic on July 14th.

Needless to say, we’ve had a lot of cake over the last few weeks. 🙂

Ian has always been very interested in golf and his interest grew last year with a few visits to the driving range and a game at a par 3 course with Mike.
We acquired 2 sets of child-sized clubs (birthday gift for Matthew, awesome garage sale score for Ian) and the interest grew into a full time obsession.

We signed Ian up for 6 weeks of golf lessons this spring and Mike has taken him out golfing a few times as well. Ian is really enjoying all the golf practice and talks about golf non-stop. Ian told me he’d like to be a pro golfer when he grows up.

Matthew has really gotten into the golf this year as well. He can hit a ball from one side of our yard to the other which is pretty darn far. He recently told me he was going to join the PGA Tour when he turns “stir-teen” (13). LOL

For now, I enjoy watching the boys find something that all 3 can enjoy and participate in at the same time.
Maybe momma needs to take some golf lessons? 😉
This boy. Five years old.

He’s got so much personality.
He is a stranger to no one and will befriend anyone that comes within 20 feet of him. He is a ladies man and reminds me so much of Ferris Bueller. It makes eating in restaurants or walking around a store a bit difficult. LOL

He is sassy, chatty, silly, hot tempered, creative, competitive, sensitive, and endlessly energetic.
He is a clown and loves to make people laugh.

His hugs and kisses can take away the exhaustion from a bad day at work.

No matter how big he gets, he’ll always be my baby.
Happy birthday, baby boy.
