Once Matthew got past his aversion to the texture of rice cereal, it was pretty clear he was going to be a good eater. He downs a container of baby food like it’s nobody’s business. Tonight, we thought we’d let him self-feed some egg noodles. He did great and NO choking!
Smiling and just getting done rubbing his eyes…poor tired boy!
He ate an entire plate full of food. As usual, we’re pretty sure he ate more dinner than Ian!
We started the day off playing cars before preschool:
Ian took in iced cookies for his preschool party and wore a special “munner” 3 shirt all day long.
I decided to be Overachiever Mom of the Year and make a cake worthy of Martha Stewart and Betty Crocker….they came out a little messy but were really good. And Ian recognized them as cars which made the entire experience worthwhile. Woo hoo!
I did Confetti cake, buttercream icing with food coloring mixed in, M&Ms for headlights (yellow) and taillights (red), Oreos for the wheels and spare, and black licorice to frame the windshield!
Ian thought it was pretty cool:
He wanted everyone to know that he’s 3 “ears” old:
We celebrated with the Jones family on Tuesday (2/24/09) and the Samulski family on Thursday (2/26/09). Ian got a ridiculous amount of gifts! Here are a few out of the many that he received!
A pack of cars seemed intriguing:
On Thursday he got a really awesome tee-ball set:
and an even cooler soccer goal:
Ian actually does a really great job kicking the ball around:
We got the computer back. Best Buy reinstalled Windows and restored the computer back to its original factory settings. This cleaned up all of the viruses we had but also completely wiped clean everything we had on the computer.
Sunday: Picked up the computer (no charge by the way), reinstalled printer, reinstalled Quicken, registered and updated our antivirus software. Set antivirus software to scan the computer daily for viruses. Set it to update via the internet on an hourly basis. (can you tell I’m freaked about getting more viruses???) Download 14 Windows and Internet Explorer updates.
Monday: Reinstalled iTunes. Yay! Didn’t lose my gift card balance of $20! Decided that our virus issues were bad enough that we should maybe schedule a virus scan to be done 2x daily. Every 12 hours should help protect us, right?!?!?!
Tuesday: Reinstalled Photoshop. Loaded up Quicken file backup from 1/25. (Only 1 month of banking activity to recreate!) Loaded up iTunes music and videos from backup disc. (Only 8 items NOT on backup disc, all were loaded into iTunes without issue.)
So far, not too bad. It’s going to take a while to get everything back to where it was. But, so far we’re virus-free and working correctly. Let’s hope it continues!
I went to Sproost and took a short survey to determine what decorating style I have.
Apparently, I’m cottage chic. π
Now, if only we could afford to decorate the house in cottage chic style.
Hey, it’s fun to play, right? π
