Houston, we have a crawler!

Please ignore the mild fit at the end. Apparently in Ian’s world “from whence he came” translates to “Kasey Kahne”. Yes, my 3 year old has an obsession with Nascar and knows the drivers and their car numbers. [INSERT BIG EYE ROLL HERE]

We tried to get another video and Ian decided he was going to show us how HE can crawl. As you’ll see, he’s really good at it. πŸ™‚

Pay special attention to Ian’s legs when he throws the ball to Mike the first time…that’s his “pitcher’s” move. You know? Like how big league pitchers do their leg when throwing the pitching the ball? This is Ian’s version. I sure do love it. πŸ™‚

Just hanging out on a Sunday afternoon…playing with their toys.

I can’t believe only 1 more week until I’ve hit a full YEAR of having my picture taken with the boys. Some weeks it was definitely a challenge to fit it in but I have to say, that makes it even more special. Without this project, I probably wouldn’t have had my picture taken with them. πŸ™‚

The Mammoth Men are 12 friends / professional photographers that go on road trips together – having tons of fun and taking great pictures in the process. I love reading about their hi-jinks and checking out the awesome shots they get along the way. Check out their “about us” area for a more thorough explanation.

In February, there was a big convention in Vegas for wedding and portrait photographers. At the end of the convention, the Mammoth Men showed off some of their fab karaoke skillz at the Body English club in the Hard Rock Hotel.

I just had to share this post from their blog….damn funny!

…at Red Robin, Mike and I decided we were going to try to take the boys out to eat on roughly a weekly basis. We figured, after a while Ian would learn what we expected from him behavior-wise. And Matthew would grow up knowing how to behave.

We went to Tully’s for lunch and then afterward we did some shopping at Target.

Ian did very good at both. We had some grouchy moments at Tully’s but he was distracted fairly easily. At Target, Ian got a little upset that he couldn’t have EVERY car in the car aisle. But, again, he really was okay about the whole thing.

Matthew was a very good boy as well. He needed out of his highchair at Tully’s because he didn’t fit very well in the seat. He kept sliding down into uncomfortable positions which made him a little grouchy. He ended up sitting on my knee for the last 10 minutes of the meal and helped me finish my fat-free pasta salad. Overall, he was VERY interested in everything we were eating. (I think the transition to 100% table foods is going to be very easy.) He was a little sweetie at Target as usual.

So, all-in-all it was a really pleasant experience. Let’s hope it continues!
