“Way to go, sisters!”
Where on Earth does he learn this stuff???
Here it is! The big reveal!
We primed and painted the paneling in a very light cream. Not as yellow as the pictures below appear. (The lamps in the room and in the hallway are making it appear more yellow than it is in person.)
The canvases came from Target and are strategically placed to cover the big gaping holes the previous owners’ mirror and shelf left in the paneling.
The coat rack was ordered from Target and will eventually be moved to the top of the stairs in the living room. We have to find another home for our DVDs first.
The rug was a remnant from Carpet Factory Outlet that we had cut to size and the edges finished off for about $70-80. The color in the pictures below aren’t quite the color you see in person. In person, it appears more beige.
Light fixture was about $75 and a huge improvement over the old one. Worth every penny!
We’ll eventually replace the front door and probably paint the brown trim around the pocket door and closet but for now, we’re done!
The very hideous before…
…and the much improved after…
Much better, don’t you think?
Because Courtney asked…

IN PROGRESS – Yesterday (Saturday)
We picked 5 colors and got samples from Lowes last weekend. We picked the first one (Valspar’s Silver Dusk). It looks dark but it will depend on how the light hits it. It’s actually the same color as the blue on the back wall (behind where the toilet would go). You can see in those other pictures that it isn’t THAT dark.
