….I have a friend that could use all the prayers you could muster.

I “met” Brooke online a few years back after our weddings and have kept in touch via internet message boards. Brooke and her husband Joe had a really rough time getting pregnant. After 3 IUIs and 3 IVFs, they FINALLY got pregnant. With triplets!!!

Brooke is 20 weeks along and currently on bedrest for a shortening cervix. They got some bad news at her doctors appointment yesterday. Despite being on bedrest, her exam revealed more cervical shortening. If it continues at this rate, Brooke is at risk for delivering the babies before they are viable.

She has or will be having surgery to help her condition but as is true of all surgeries, there is some risk associated with the procedure.

Please keep Brooke, Joe and those 3 babies in your thoughts and prayers.

Here is her website, if you’d like to know more:

He doesn’t feel good and appears to be cutting 30 teeth at once. Lots of tears. Lots of grouchiness. Tiring for everyone but particularly for the baby guy.

Mike and Ian left today to run an errand and I put Matthew in the playpen so I could go potty. I came back and found this.

Just a disclaimer on this one: he didn’t drink the Mountain Dew…he just likes playing with the empties. Please note that he’s got a toy clutched in his other hand and a stuffed animal across his legs. 🙂

A closeup of this picture reveals that he’s actually asleep in a puddle of drool. And lots of dried-on, crusty boogies all over his face. But please ignore the boogies. 😉

We had dirt delivered for our garden/flower beds tonight….Mike was in the middle of mowing but stopped to wheel the dirt to the beds in the backyard. Of course, Ian had to help. 🙂

I think he muttered “I wuv helping” under his breath about 300 times. 🙂

There was scooping dirt into the wheelbarrow…
