Ian went pee-pee on the potty all by himself! Completely unprompted. Completely unsupervised.
YAY!!!!
Mike went out and Ian was watching tv. I was on the computer in the basement when I heard Ian yelling “I went pee-pees on the potty! I went pee-pees on the potty!” I ran upstairs to find him climbing up the stool to wash his hands with his little undies all balled up in the back. Sure enough, he had peed in the potty.
This is a big step. It means he knows what to do when he has the urge to go. And will stop what he’s doing, unprompted, and go to the potty before he pees his pants.
Woo hoo!!!!
Now we just need him to poop in the potty and not in his undies or pull-ups.
The half bath is DONE! Water is turned on. Sink and toilet are both operational. Woo hoo!
BEFORE

(picture taken during the inspection, previous owner’s horrifying taste in decor is displayed)
AFTER
It is a huge improvement!!! Mike did an awesome job and I couldn’t be prouder of him!
The vanity alone made the entire project worthwhile. You don’t have to turn sideways to walk past the vanity.
The only thing left to do is find a picture to hang over the toilet. But other than that, it’s done!!!
And…I was right. He was “holding it”. Poop, I mean.
He pooped in his pull-up at about 2:00-2:30am last night. 🙁
Day two is coming to a close and we only had the 1 accident that I mentioned before. No poop sightings STILL so I’m hoping he’s not “holding it”.
