You may have noticed that I redecorated….
–scrap kit papers: Falling For You
–picture frame: Through the Patch
–word art: Thanks, Thanks
Ian was a race car driver….
Matthew was a football player….
Matthew is a sweet little thing but I swear to God, we need to get this kid a leash. He will NOT hold still and runs away like you wouldn’t believe. Holy moly!!!
We did manage to trap him by our fence and get him to play in the leaves a bit. He was fascinated by the wind blowing the trees and leaves around.
Ian had a TON of fun trick-or-treating. He really got it this year. It was fun to see him having so much fun.
Ian also had a really good time handing out candy to the people that came to the door. I really didn’t expect that at all.
Can’t wait for next year!!!
To start our Halloween celebrations off on the right foot, we carved and decorated the rest of the pumpkins before nap time this afternoon.
Ian painted the pumpkin on the left. He was making a face and did a pretty good job. The back of the pumpkin has about 10lbs of paint to represent hair. 😉
My pumpkin is on the right. I was trying to artfully cover up some drawings we’d made on it when we initially wanted to carve it. The pumpkin was too tough and not really carve-able.

(The pumpkin on the left was from our garden, grown from a seed!)
Here’s the giant pumpkin that Mike carved up. It looks AWESOME!
I almost wish we had carved the big pumpkin sooner…I don’t think we’re going to get near enough enjoyment out of it before we have to toss it.
We took Matthew for his first haircut today. It was a much needed haircut as Matthew’s hair has gotten pretty shaggy over the last few weeks.
BEFORE:
He reacted to the haircut pretty much the same way Ian did.
Confusion….
…followed by “get me out of here!”
He lived through the torture and now looks like a pretty dapper dude. 🙂
AFTER:
I’m glad we still managed to keep some of his blond hair!
