Mike put up a fence around our garden. Last week on Friday-ish, we found a rabbit IN the garden and watched while it ran through a hole it had eaten in the fence. All day Saturday, Mike worked to reinforce the fence in order to keep the critters out.
On Tuesday, we found rabbits in there again and when we chased it out, we watched it run head-first into the fence about a half dozen times before running out a SECOND hole.
Wednesday night, Mike videotaped while a rabbit checked out the perimeter of the fence and then today, we found ANOTHER rabbit in the garden. It’s very frustrating.
Knowing full well the rabbit would get spooked and run into the fence, we armed ourselves with the camera to tape it. It’s not the best video but you can see it run into the fence at about 0:40 and you can’t see it but when it escapes, it runs out a THIRD hole it’s eaten in the fence. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
It’s extremely frustrating and funny all at the same time.
I’m starting to feel a lot like Elmer Fudd!!! It’s wabbit hunting season!!!
Approximately a bazillion years ago, we took a trip to Virginia for Miss Kaitlyn’s baptism.
(Ok, in reality it was Memorial Day weekend. I’m just nearly 4 months behind on pictures and just getting around to blogging this now. 🙂 )
I didn’t take many pictures while we were in Virginia because I never seemed to have the camera nearby. Or I had a sleeping baby on me. Or I was refereeing a fight between Ian, Andrew and Matthew. LOL To say it was chaotic would be an understatement. 🙂
We drove down to Virginia on Thursday, May 27th. It was a pretty nice day out and it started out as a fairly easy drive.
Ian played his Leapster.
We got him the Toy Story 3 game for this trip and he loved it.
Matthew watched DVDs on the portable DVD player.
I practiced taking pictures because he was held captive.
He repaid me by looking directly at me and sticking his finger up his nose.
I posted that last picture as revenge because shortly after taking these pictures, Matthew vomited (!!!!!!) all over himself, the carseat and darn near half the car. And we were about 2 hours away from home and 6 hours from Virginia. Needless to say, VERY gross and VERY stressful.
I didn’t take any more pictures that day because I was on Vomiting Baby Code Red State of Emergency High Alert.
While in Virginia, we pretty much chilled and watched the kids play while taking turns holding the sweetness that is Sissy girl.
Jonathan climbed up on their outdoor fireplace and posed like this. I don’t remember why but I do remember saying that I was taking a picture and posting it on the blog. So here ya go! LOL
On Saturday, Jonathan’s family came in to town and we all visited together:
Sunday, Miss Siss got baptised. Frankly, she was a bit pissed about it:
(Ok, not really but that’s literally the only picture I have from the baptism. LOL)
After the party and a much need nap for most of us, we took the boys out to play in the pool:
Siss woke up from her nap while we were outside so Mike rescued her from her crib-like prison. She needed some time to adjust from the quiet, cool, dark bed room to the hot, sunny, noisy outdoors.
After a quick diaper change, Siss slipped into her fancy bathing suit:
Siss is a delicate little flower and NOT amused by the splashing houligans nor the freezing cold pool water:
After drying off, checking things out for a bit and a bottle, she fell asleep on my shoulder:
We drove home the next day but I don’t have any interesting pictures to share. Mostly, the boys watched DVDs, Ian played the Leapster, Matthew napped and I played on my phone. 🙂
And that, in a nutshell, was our trip to VA.
