Okay, so we have this woman that lives across the street. We’re pretty sure she lives alone. She rarely has visitors and we hardly ever see her. We can literally go weeks and weeks without seeing her. To the point where we aren’t even sure if she’s in town.

When we do see her, she’s usually wearing one of those housecoat robe/dresses and slippers. No matter the time of day or weather.

And she’s got this garage crammed full of STUFF including a classic car…but there is just literally stuff everywhere. Including stacked on and around the classic car. So much stuff that she occasionally has to leave her garage door up 1-2 ft because she can’t get it closed around her junk.

And she drives a brand new Lexus. You know, because why wouldn’t she drive a Lexus?

So to recap, we have an eccentric, hording, classic-car-collecting, housecoat-and-slipper-wearing, Lexus-driving, hermit neighbor living across the street from us. 🙂

Bizarre, right?

To make things even more bizarre, every single Saturday morning during the summer a couple of trucks and vans pull up in front of her house. A bunch of guys pile out and do lawn work…only, it’s a completely excessive number of guys and they’re there for like 2 freakin’ hours. LOL

This week we were outside when they rolled up and I happened to have my camera on me. I tried to nonchalantly take a picture without them knowing so most of the picture is of the trees and sky.

It’s not a good picture but….

WHO NEEDS 11 PEOPLE TO DO THEIR YARD WORK?!?!?!?

And the thing is, there are 11 people in this picture but there were MORE off to the side/out of the frame.

I just cannot figure this out. It’s completely bizarre. LOL

Or, for those older than 2, you might call it “strawberry picking”. 🙂

We had a great time and I have a bunch of pictures to share. I’ll try to post some later tonight!

After work, we all went down to Bounce Magic to celebrate Matthew’s birthday. The birthday boy was a little slow to warm up to the bounce houses but once he was comfortable, he was a little daredevil.

I’m not exaggerating when I say he literally took one slide down feet first and then the second one looked this like:

He even braved the bigger slide:

After we played for about two hours, we came home to open presents and have cake:

While the little guys finished their cake and had a bath, Dad and I built one of the train sets that Mike and I got for Matthew. The boys really enjoyed playing trains and had to be forcibly removed from the playroom when it was [waaaaaaay past] time for bed. 😉 I feel confident in saying that they’re looking forward to playing with everything tomorrow!

Thank you to Grammy, Papaw, Nick and Aunt Rachel for coming out to play with us. And thank you (Aunt Courtney and gang too) for the awesome birthday presents. We’re especially looking forward to using the tent and pool.

What a great birthday!
