Mike’s good friend Dale got married yesterday. Dale and Mike have been friends since they were in grade school together, so nearly 20 years or so. Dale stood up in our wedding and yesterday was Mike’s turn to stand up in Dale’s.
Dale and Allison threw a really great party. We had a ton of fun at the reception and couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds.
I didn’t take too many pictures because I just wanted to enjoy the day (instead of trying to document everything). Here are a few of the pictures and videos from their wedding. 🙂

Mike stepped away to get us some drinks and the DJ announced a few special songs that had been requested for Dale. All I had on me was my phone so after I recorded a few minutes with my phone, I had to stop and go grab the other camera to get the second song:

If you’ve been around the blog long enough, you’ve probably figured out that I like taking pictures and that photography is a bit of a hobby for me. Along with a photography hobby comes the need for photo editing software. I’ve used Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite for years for my photo editing.
Everyone that uses Photoshop knows all about Scott Kelby. Scott is considered the world’s foremost expert on all things Photoshop. Scott’s love of photography led him to create the annual World Wide Photo Walk. Scott’s World Wide Photo Walk is an opportunity for groups of photographers (or “wanna-bes” like me) to get together, meet new people and take some pictures. Walks are held all over the world on the exact same day and this year, it took place on Saturday July 24th.
I registered for the Buffalo walk being held at the Erie Canal Harbor and Naval Park. I twisted Mom’s arm to join me and off we went to take some pictures.
When we first got there, the sky looked threatening and it looked like it might rain. After a while, the sky cleared and the sun came out. It turned out to be a gorgeous day!

They recently built a memorial/museum-like area along the harbor to highlight the history of the Erie Canal in WNY. As part of the walk, management gave us access to areas that are not yet open to the public. They’ve restored ruins from the Erie Canal, built a few bridges and have set up displays with historical information to explain the sights.

After photographing the H.E.L.L. out of the bridges (did I really need to take 50 pictures of them? LOL), we went to check out the harbor and Naval Park.

The harbor and Naval Park ended up being an unbelievably fascinating place to visit. I probably haven’t been to the Naval Park since I was in elementary school so a lot has changed. The area had a lot of interesting things to see and I am looking forward to going back and seeing more.
